Owner / Director / Instructor

Nicole Peach Romey is the proud founder and director of Bold Dance by Peach. Her love for dance began at just 2 years old in Des Moines, Iowa, and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. She went on to serve as captain of both her high school and Iowa State University dance teams, earning her degree in Psychology while also competing, choreographing, coaching, and collecting numerous state and national awards.

In 2006, Peach discovered her greatest joy, teaching and inspiring young dancers in the Ames community. After 12 years of teaching, she launched Bold Dance by Peach with the dream of creating a place where every child feels welcome and celebrated. For Peach, dance is more than steps; it is about building confidence, sparking creativity, and raising kind, resilient people.

As a proud member of Dance Masters of America, Chapter 34, Peach continues to grow as an educator, attending teacher conferences across the nation and bringing back fresh ideas and safe, inspiring practices.

At Bold Dance, Peach has built a warm, inclusive space where every dancer belongs. She cannot wait to know and love your dancers, cheering for them, celebrating their milestones, and watching them shine both on and off the stage.

Cassidy Gerdts

Miss Cassidy, originally from Davenport, IA, has been passionate about dance since she started dancing at 5 years old. She trained at her home studio for 13 years, danced on her high school team for 4 years, and spent a year dancing at the collegiate level, where she won multiple state and national titles. Dance has always been her second home and second language, and she loves sharing her passion with young girls and boys.

Molly Duve

Molly has been a proud member of the Bold Dance family for the past 9 years! As one of the studio's original staff members, she has had the joy of teaching dancers of all ages and levels across a wide variety of styles. Molly also shares her creativity as a choreographer for the Collective team, where she loves helping dancers grow, challenge themselves, and find their confidence.

Outside of the studio, Molly is a 3rd grade teacher at a local elementary school. Her passion for teaching extends far beyond the dance studio, and she loves creating a positive, encouraging environment where her students and dancers can learn, grow, and have fun. Molly is so grateful to have spent nearly a decade growing alongside the Bold Dance community and can't wait for another amazing season!

Loghan Nichols

Loghan Nichols

Instructor

Miss Loghan is originally from Cedar Rapids, IA, and has danced for 15 years. She had the opportunity to train under collegiate alumni in various styles such as jazz, lyrical, tap, and hip hop. She competed for eight years and worked at her studio as an assistant instructor.

This year, Loghan will be a junior at Iowa State, studying supply chain and political science on a pre-law track. She is so excited to continue to help young dancers grow and explore their own love of dance.

Jessica Martin

Miss Jessica has been passionate about dance ever since she began at 5 years old. Growing up in the small town of Durango, Colorado, she trained as a competitive dancer for many years in various styles such as jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and ballet. As a freshman in high school, she joined her school's pom squad, and fell in love with all things dance team. When her family moved to Texas shortly after, she quickly became involved in drill team and precision dance, specializing in pom and high kick. Jessica went away for college at the University of Georgia and earned a degree in Public Relations, before coming to Iowa State University to receive a master's degree in Higher Education.

Upon moving to Ames, Jessica was eager to get back into dance, serving as the head coach of the Ames High School Dance Team for two years. She is the current assistant coach of the Ballard Dance Team. Jessica now works at ISU as a Career Coordinator in the Ivy College of Business and is a mom to two cats. She is so excited to be a part of the Bold family!

Elena Kreutzer

Miss Elena started dancing when she was 3 years old and has been trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, modern, hip hop, musical theatre, and heels. She has trained under various Broadway stars, professional cheerleaders, Rockettes, and "So You Think You Can Dance" participants.

Elena has been teaching at Bold for over 5 years now, is a Collective Instructor/Choreographer, and has won many awards for her work. She is the head of our Bold Ballet department and a teacher at a local elementary school.

Jayden Olson

Jayden Olson

Miss Jayden has been dancing for over 16 years and has had a passion for performing and teaching from a young age. Trained in a variety of dance styles, she spent many years as a competitive dancer before becoming an instructor at her home studio, where she discovered her love for inspiring and mentoring young dancers.

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Jayden is currently attending Iowa State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher. During high school, she was also a member of her varsity cheer team, earning a Nebraska State Championship and serving as team captain.

Jayden is passionate about helping every dancer grow in both skill and confidence. She strives to create a positive, encouraging classroom where dancers feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. She is thrilled to be part of the Bold Dance By Peach family and can't wait to share her love of dance with the next generation.

Lauren Furnal

Miss Lauren is from Pleasantville and has been dancing since she was three years old. She has competed through the high school and collegiate levels, earning multiple state and national titles. Dance has always been a refuge and a form of expression and creativity in her life. The opportunity to share her passion and teach the thing that has brought her so much joy is so exciting and inspiring!

Lauren is experienced in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and pom. She is currently a student at Iowa State majoring in Kinesiology to become a chiropractor.

Jessica Dropik

Miss Jessica is from a small town in Minnesota and moved to Ames, Iowa, to attend Iowa State University, where she is currently a junior majoring in Biology. She has been dancing for over 17 years and has trained in a wide variety of styles including lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, and ballet. Jessica began dancing recreationally before transitioning to competitive dance at the age of seven. Throughout her competitive career, she earned numerous overall championships as well as multiple first, second, and third-place awards.

This is the first year Miss Jessica will be teaching at Bold Dance, and she is beyond excited to share her passion for dance with the next generation of dancers. She looks forward to building meaningful connections with her students, helping them grow in both confidence and skill, and becoming part of the Bold Dance family.

Julianna Kreutzer

Miss Julianna is from Bloomington, Minnesota and has been dancing recreationally since she was two years old. She began competing when she was nine, and has been trained in tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop, danceline, and acro. She has choreographed several award-winning pieces, and has coached gymnastics for the past three years.

This year, Julianna is studying Criminal Justice at Iowa State University. She is happy to be a part of the Bold Dance family!

Alicia Ortner

Ms. Alicia brings a lifelong passion for dance. Starting her dance journey at age two in a local studio located in Fort Madison, Iowa, she developed a strong foundation and a deep love for movement. In high school, Alicia showcased her leadership and initiative by founding the dance team at her high school. Her dedication continued through college, where she earned a dance minor from Iowa State University and was a proud member of the Iowa State Dance Team. She has studied ballet, lyrical, contemporary, tap, jazz, pom, tumbling/acro, and hip hop, and is a Collective Instructor/Choreographer at Bold. Alicia was a longstanding coach of the Ballard Dance Team, where she won many awards for her coaching and choreography, including the Iowa State Dance Team Association's Coach of the Year award in 2025.

Alicia is incredibly proud to be a member of the Bold Dance family, fostering a love for dance in every student.

Jewel Heubner

Jewel Heubner

Miss Jewel is proud to be from Ames, where she grew up dancing at a local studio. She is entering her eighth year as the Gilbert Dance Team coach. Her favorite part of being in the dance community is watching dancers build relationships rooted in encouragement.

Outside of coaching and teaching, Jewel works as a behavior and curriculum coach at a local childcare center. She is excited to be a part of the Bold Dance Family!

Delaney Filling

Miss Delaney studied dance for 15 years in the Des Moines area. She trained in ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, lyrical, and contemporary. Dance is her outlet, and she hopes to carry the excitement and love of dance into her classes at Bold!

Outside of dance, Miss Delaney enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling to new places. Delaney is so excited and grateful to be a part of our Bold Dance Family and cannot wait to create meaningful and lasting relationships with her students!

Olivia DiGiovanni

Miss Olivia has been dancing for 16 years and grew up dancing competitively. She is from Kansas City, Missouri. Olivia has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pom, and acro. She was a 4-year member of her high school dance team and led her team as captain her senior year. She has continued her dance career and is currently a member of the Iowa State Dance Team. This year, Olivia is a sophomore, majoring in public relations and minoring in event management.

Olivia is so excited to be a part of the Bold Dance family and cannot wait to share her love of dance with her students!

Kylee Valencia

Miss Kylee is originally from Orange County, California, but right now, she is in love with Ames, Iowa, where she attends Iowa State University, majoring in Athletic Training. She has been dancing and competing since the age of three, trained professionally in various styles and was on her high school's song team all four years. Kylee was a Varsity USA song instructor and formerly was on the Orchesis I Dance Company and a part of DUBH at ISU.

Miss Kylee has been choreographing and teaching for seven years and is so excited to work and share her passion of dance with the family at Bold Dance.

Meredith Francom

With over a decade of fitness-teaching experience, Meredith brings an irresistible blend of energy, rhythm, and pure joy to every dance fitness class. Her easy to follow routines, big smiles, and encouraging vibe make each workout feel more like a party than a chore.

Meredith has taught at a variety of locations, starting in France at GigaFit and Saint Joseph Centre Actiplus, later joining staff at a local fitness center, and now joining the Bold Dance team! No matter the space, her mission stays the same: helping people sweat, laugh, and feel confident in their own skin. One thing is for sure—Meredith is always up for a dance party!

Cindy Shelton

Support Staff Lead / Event Planner

Cindy is our Event Planner/Support Staff Lead at Bold Dance! She not only is wonderful at what she does around the studio but also has a dance background! She started dancing at age three and continued through high school, where she was captain of her dance team her senior year. She took ballroom classes in college, and after a long dance hiatus she became a participant in the Bold Dance Adult Class. She is also an incredibly proud dance mom to four Bold Dancers!

Cindy spends much of her time shuttling her five kids between activities and school. In her free time she loves a good book, crafting, a laugh with good friends, and spending time with her husband. If she could, Cindy would live at the lake, her favorite place to spend time with her family!

Amy Edwards

Amy is one of our front desk/support staff here at Bold Dance. Amy danced on her high school pom team and also took contemporary/lyrical dance classes while in college. She loves what music and movement provide for the mind body connection.

Originally from Wisconsin, Amy and her husband moved to Ames in 2004. They have one child, Ethan, who is a student at Ames High. Outside of the studio, Amy loves to watch football games, take pictures, create floral arrangements, and spend time with family and friends.

Amy looks forward to creating meaningful interactions while working with all the dancers, families, and staff. She is excited to be a part of the Bold Dance Staff Family.

Rachel Eickert

Rachel is one of the front desk/support staff at Bold Dance by Peach. Her love for dance began in childhood, a passion she passed down to her daughter, Delaney, who has danced since she was three years old. Watching Delaney grow and recently graduate high school has been one of Rachel's greatest joys.

Outside of supporting Delaney in all her dance and softball endeavors, Rachel enjoys being creative — quilting, crocheting, knitting, and painting are some of her favorite activities.

Rachel is thrilled to be a part of Bold Dance by Peach, where she finds herself in a friendly, welcoming, and creative environment. Here, everyone supports one another, fostering a community spirit that aligns perfectly with her passion for helping people. She is excited to contribute to and grow at a studio that values inclusivity, collaboration, and creativity as much as she does.

Miss Kenyin is excited to join the Bold Dance By Peach team as a Front Desk Assistant this season! Having been a part of the Bold family for the past seven years, she is thrilled to welcome dancers and families while helping create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Kenyin is currently pursuing a degree in nursing and loves spending time dancing, especially during her favorite season — fall! When she's not at the studio or studying, you'll likely find her surrounded by all things purple, her favorite color.

She can't wait to meet all of our wonderful dance families and be part of another incredible season at Bold!

Ms. Katie danced for 16 years and has never lost her love and admiration for dance. She grew up watching one of her biggest role models—and has been so lucky to call her sister! Surprise… Ms. Peach is Ms. Katie's big sister! After years away from the studio, Katie is so excited to bring her love of dance, her heart for kids, and her passion for helping others back into the dance world.

Katie has always had a special gift for connecting with children. She has years of experience working in childcare and spent four years as a Special Education Paraprofessional working with students from TK through 5th grade. Her patience, kindness, and ability to make every child feel seen, supported, and valued make her such a wonderful addition to Bold.

Outside of Bold, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their son, Levi. She is so excited to officially be part of the Bold family and cannot wait to love on, encourage, and cheer on our dancers!
